  • Thursday, Marth 4, 2004: Version 1.2.5 of the SB client was released.

At the time, the developers intended to skip version 2 entirely and create a Java-based version 3.

  • Friday, October 29, 2004: Version 2.0.0 of the SB client was released, for SSE2-capable processors only.

Using improvements to the core FFT library by George Woltman, V2 was roughly twice as fast as V1.2.5.

  • Saturday, December 11, 2004: Version 2.2.0 of the SB client was released.

George Woltman finally implemented the algorithm used in V2.0.0 for non-SSE2 processors. It was incorporated into this version, allowing other processors to finally keep up with Pentium 4's.

  • Friday, December 24 2004: Version 2.3.0 of the SB client was released.

A very critical bug was found in the non-SSE2 code of the Windows V2.2.0 client by KenG6 of Team Anandtech. Louie rushed a fix through just before Christmas.

  • Tuesday, May 31 2005: Version 2.4.0 of the SB client was released.

This release included small speed and accuracy improvements, as well as the ability to enter the long 'usernameQQQsecondpass' string directly into the client.

  • Saturday, September 10 2005: Version 2.5.0 of the SB client was released.

This release included small speed and accuracy improvements, as well as couple bug fixes and FFTs up to 32 million.

  • Wednesday, March 18 2009: New Client based on prime95.
