Wiki-wiki is the Hawaiian word for quick.

Wiki websites are designed to be editable by any user. Developed by Ward Cunningham in 1994, Wikis were designed to improve remote collaboration, but quickly evolved into an engine to aid in the collaborative efforts of regular users to such sites as Wikipedia to add content, thus allowing the content to evolve in realtime.
